An idiosyncratic, challenging and richly lyrical singer/ songwriter, Junior Brother is the pseudonym of Co. Kerry, Ireland singer Ronan Kealy.

Chosen as one of RTÉ's Rising Irish Stars of 2018, and recently as one of The Irish Times' contenders ready to break through Junior Brother has built a rabid following thanks to unmissable live shows, and music both excitingly forward-looking and anciently evocative.

His strange stories unfold with reckless abandon upon an idiosyncratic Guitar and Foot Tambourine accompaniment, influenced as much by the avant-garde as music from the middle ages and his home place in rural Ireland.

With a fresh and daring single, “The Men Who Eat Ring Forts’. The brand new release follows on from June’s epic “Junior Brother’s Favourite” EP and his acclaimed album "The Great Irish Famine". Taught yet expansive, the new single sets the tone for Junior Brother’s upcoming third album

Junior Brother will be performing with a band.

Support from Welsh born Tynesider Ceitidh Mac who is a Newcastle based alt.folk cellist/singer with a progressive twist to her music.
